bitterness
Thanks to her, I discovered a new definition to an old word yesterday:
bitterness: noun to describe the cost of living with your convictions in a society eager to put you down, point out the “error” of your ways and/or persecute you.

yes. how true.
will be reviewing what I’ve missed here, have been offline for ages. Hope you are well, jikon? is the Australia trip on? Look me up if you need anything, we can get acquainted. *smile*
Dear Jikon, I know very well the meaning of bitterness. No, I’m not the bitter one, it’s my mother. And I have felt the consequences of one’s bitterness. I’m documenting all this in my blog so that lucky people who has never been beaten to a pulp by their mothers can get a glimpse of what true bitterness is all about.
I like how the definition of bitterness sounds so… bitter.
I agree Jay, well said! An excellent response that added wonderfully for me to a fine definition, you certainly know how to put your (verbal) finger on it…
abused: sadly, you seem to have bore the brunt of the very much darker side of “bitterness”. *hugs* may you find strength and courage to carry on with your life.
Oh hey Mike - long time no comment!
Dear Jikon, thanks so much…
Yes Jay, sorry to be “absent” for so long (I’m assuming you’re glad to see me being, er, active again here?)… but it’s been a busy month or so… 2 weeks’ holiday in KL and Bangkok, back in time for Christmas, my birthday, new year, back to work… quite exhausting (especially KL and Bangkok of course!).. exhilirating though.
Hope Jikon doesn’t mind us having a chat here?! (of course he doesn’t, everyone else might though?!)…
Oh, if he can seduce my boyfriend in my blog, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind a normal conversation happening in his, eh Jikon?
Sorry Jay, just read this here, forgot to check until now…
Anyway, what do you mean about us having a normal conversation on Jikon’s blog?…. this is me doing some (not-so) subtle seduction! Clearly it’s been a little too-subtle?! Hmmmph!
