Sydney, here I come!

Oh God… I’ve soooo had it with work and Canberra.

I’m tired - mentally, physically and emotionally. My brain refuses to work properly - I’m certainly not at peak performance levels. I’ve found it very difficult to concentrate on my reading in the last 10 days or so. And I can’t seem to wake up before 09H these days despite going to bed at midnight at the latest.

So…

I’m off to Sydney on Thursday for a much needed break! On the agenda are:

  • the Sydney Good Food Show
  • brunch at Max Brenner with this one
  • shopping - the sales are on!
  • good food in nice restaurants with great company
  • Oxford Street = gay men galore!
  • IKEA !!!!
  • chilling out in cafes
  • bumming around with no plans, no responsibilities, no reading and no stress

This will be my first “real” break in three months and I really need it. I’ll be away for about 6 days. If anyone wants to catch up in Sydney, post a comment here or send me a message. If you know a great gay man in Sydney who’s interested - definitely send him my way!

Have a good week everyone!

knitting a scarf

scarf.jpgWell… I’m either really bored, really lazy (and thus avoiding work), or really stressed.

I bought this book today, got some nice “novelty” yarn and I’m going to try and learn to knit the pink scarf you see in the picture on the left!

UPDATE: This is how far I’ve come - 2.5 inches of a scarf after roughly two hours of knitting. Remember, I’ve never knit before this.

This scarf is going to be soooo gorgeous!

Winter in Canberra

WinterinCBR2.jpg

Now this is what the view normally looks like from my bed at 09H, 95% of the time. Clear blue sky and bright sunshine. Just don’t ask what the temperature is!

Welcome to England!

It's well and truly winter now...

This is the view from my bed at 1025H. It’s only 5C. It’s raining. It’s all grey and gloomy. Ooo… sounds just like England!
