malaise

from the Oxford English Dictionary:

malaise, n.
1. (A feeling of) vague, non-specific physical discomfort; absence of the sense of physical well-being.
2. fig. Uneasiness of mind or spirit; the unhealthy state of an institution, organization, activity, or situation.

I think I’ve been suffering from malaise for a long while now…

Work progress is minimal, if not non-existent. Life on the relationship-front is stagnant and infuriating. I spend countless days endlessly fantasising about purchases that I not only do not need but also can’t afford. I bury myself in the world-wide-virtual-web.

I’m suffering from malaise.

  1. Its not malaise, we have the human equivalent of dry rot. The superstructure may be looking fine, but all the supporting joints are slowly being eaten away.

But as you (kinda)said, we should claim and own our malaise and be happy with it. So lets hear it for malaise!!
